Finally! i cant believe that i got it.I am so happy, actually a little desapponted because i was waiting around 97, but thatīs fine because when i started studying i was aiming to get above 90s. First i want to say that i am a FMG from Brazil graduated in octuber 2004 trying to get a residency in IM in US.During my medical school i was always a hard working student but not the best of my class.I studied for 6 months for step 1 while i was doing research once a week in osteoporosis in my home country,it supposed to be only 4 months but i had trouble to do the exam on january at prometric center(the computers shut down!!) So i had to wait for 2 months to be able to take the exam! And unfortunely i had another problem on the day that i was going to retake the exam,so i finally took the exam 2 days after that(april 7)! Well i studied mostly from kaplan lectures notes(thatīs the main source for step 1,almost everything is in there-read 3 times) and Robins pathology(only to read the rare diseases and patho pictures). The exam was kind hard in the first 3 blocks,i could barely finished the first 3 blocks. The other ones i had only 3-4 min to review the marked items.I had a lot of pharma questions(MOA,interections, adverse effects) they actually asked me 3 questions from the same drug!!!Some anatomy questions with CT and also gross anatomy from CNS.But mostly of the questions was from pathophysiology and pharmacology. Here my scores background: Q-BOOK- mean of 72%(did after each first review in kaplan lectures notes) Q-BANK(kaplan)- mean of 73%(ranging from 66-90%)finished in january before my first schedeuling date kaplan simulated CD-81% (2 days before the exam) NBME forum 1-600(one week before the exam-that was the most accurate score correlation) NBME forum 2- did not have money to afford it BSS Q-bank-so hard but very good concepts(rang from 56-74%) did only 500 questions-if you have time do it. After all of that i want to thank GOD first, and also my girlfriend who gave a lot of support without her i could not make it, my brother who inspired me to go to US to do my residency(actually he just got in to Plastic surgery in California-he is a second year resident right now),my family that i live with, people from this forum like leo, nikki, chav, perch and others. Right now i am studying hard to take the step 2 in august and step 2 CS in octuber, i hope i can make. Thanks all of you for the support.....
